Optimising pharmaceutical care for dermatological presentations in community pharmacy practice
Dermatological presentations are commonly encountered in community pharmacy practice, where pharmacists are often among the most accessible health professionals for people seeking advice, self-care support and referral when needed. This places pharmacists in a key position to support self-care, provide practical guidance, recognise warning signs, and refer when needed.
This report presents findings from the FIP Multinational Needs Assessment Programme (MNAP), based on a global survey and an accompanying insight board . It provides a high-level overview of dermatology-related practice in community pharmacy, identifies key gaps, and highlights priorities for future development. The survey received 409 responses, of which 142 eligible completed responses from 51 countries were included in the final analysis.
